Description: An interfaith harmony program was organized at Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Sector-26, Chandigarh, with the objective of promoting dialogue, mutual respect, and human values among people of different faiths. During the program, speakers highlighted that dialogue and understanding are essential for peaceful coexistence in society. They stressed that respect for diversity and adherence to human values can help bridge social and religious divides. The speakers said that all religions ultimately teach the same principles — love, compassion, tolerance, and service to humanity. Differences arise only when religion is misunderstood or misused. Therefore, there is a strong need to encourage open discussion and mutual respect, especially among the younger generation. The event included a discussion session in which scholars and representatives from various faiths shared their views. Students actively participated and showed keen interest in the discussion, asking questions related to social harmony and ethical values. At the conclusion of the program, the chief guests were felicitated with saplings and mementos as a mark of respect. The school administration thanked all the speakers and participants and stated that such programs help inculcate moral values, sensitivity, and a sense of social responsibility among students. The program concluded with a collective message of peace, harmony, and unity.
